The MTV Video Music Awards were presented on Sunday evening. Justin Bieber won the “Artist of the Year” award in a hoodie and made a comeback on the award stage after six years. While Madonna surprisingly opened the show, Olivia Rodrigo was one of the cleaners of the evening.
Justin Bieber (27) was named “Artist of the Year” at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York on Sunday, September 12th. The pop star topped the list of nominations for the award ceremony this year with seven nominations. “As we know, there is so much going on in the world while we are talking,” said Bieber, dressed in a hoodie and baggy pants, during his acceptance speech.
“I know you have probably heard it many times. We are in unprecedented times with this Covid thing that is happening,” he continued. Music is a great medium to “reach people and bring us all together. That’s why we’re here now. We’re all here together.” On stage, he performed “Stay” with The Kid Laroi (18) and his single “Ghost”. The singer, who came accompanied by Ms. Hailey (24), appeared again for the first time in six years at the MTV VMAs.
