A cold is annoying enough as it is. If there is also a sinus infection, then the recovery often takes a long time. We’ll tell you which simple tricks you can use to relieve symptoms in seconds.
Everyone is familiar with the symptoms of sinusitis, also known as sinusitis: a feeling of pressure over the forehead and cheekbones and the resulting headaches that worsen when bending over or when jolted.
From days to weeks
Often this inflammation is caused by a viral infection, a cold. Although most of the symptoms go away in less than ten days, they can sometimes appear over many weeks. This is not only painful but can also be quite annoying. But there is a quick remedy with the following 20-second trick!
Use your thumb to press the area between the eyebrows above the bridge of the nose and hold the pressure for 20 seconds. This boosts mucus production and prevents the sinuses from drying out and becoming more inflamed.
Natural remedy: apple cider vinegar
Next up: Prepare yourself a power drink made from apple cider vinegar, honey, cayenne pepper, and lemon. The following recipe is suggested by David “Avocado” Wolfe, known as an advocate of alternative medicine and a raw food diet enthusiast.
Ingredients and preparation:
60 ml organic apple cider vinegar (unfiltered)
120 ml of water
1 tbsp organic honey
Juice of a quartered lemon
Boil the water and pour in the apple cider vinegar. Then add the honey and cayenne pepper as desired and stir until everything has dissolved. Finally, add the lemon juice – and then just drink it!
The combination of pressure and power drink works wonders. Just give it a try and fight those annoying sinusitis symptoms!
